Day 2 of 2

Battle of Cantigny, our experiences were intense. we witnessed many casualties alon with many injuries. it was scary to see buldings being blown up and having planes flying over our heads, and having bullets whizzing past our faces. you could hear bullets hitting barriers and cement walls. The general called us to go...and so i want and there was so much yelling and screaming. i only got 10 yards out when i was shot in the leg and ran back as fast as i could. lucky i didn't die. and now i'm back in the states telling you my story.

The live of a soldier in WW1 day 1 of 2

The date is June 26th 1917. We have an army, it is 1 million strong. I just got transferred,  to the 28th regiment of the first division and we won our very first major victory the Battle of Cantigny.

Basically world war one, was the east. Mostly against Germany and France and Great Britain in the early years of the war. 1914-1919. Some of the names for WW1 were...the great war. The war to end all wars. The type of war was trench warfare. there were over 9 million deaths in the war. The most of any war even today.
